BOER GOAT EXCHANGE

Terry Swann is located in Odessa, TX (West Texas). He has extensive experience in the marketing and selling of live goats. He has also provided local supermarkets with locally grown, inspected, butcher ready, frozen carcasses of Boer cross goats.

Terry got his start raising Boer cross does in late 1994 with the first Boer cross goats in Odessa, (Ector County) Tx. He started with Spanish nannies bred to full blood Boer bucks. At that time, there were only a handful of breeders with full blood Boer bucks in Texas. The demand was high for quality goats to use for recipient females or breeding stock. Terry made it a priority to gather as many quality Spanish and Nubian female goats as he could. Consequently, he was able to furnish female goats for cross breeding purposes or as recipient females. From that point in time to the present, Terry has been involved in the raising and marketing of Boer cross does. Terry continues promoting Boer cross goats for meat, show and breeding purposes by volunteering his time at the local county livestock show and fair, for market goats as well as full blood Boer goats.
